Step 1. Wash strawberries in cold water. Remove any that have become mushy. Firm strawberries are always the freshest.

Step 2. Melt chocolate bars, kisses, or  chocolate chips in a saucepan, while whisking constantly. Using  a pair of tongs, dip strawberries into the chocolate. Hint: Chocolate syrup is also a great way to get a thick coat of chocolate.

Step 3. Place dipped strawberries on a cookie sheet covered in wax paper. Freeze for three to four hours.
