Black and white are by far the most traditional colors for a wedding. Other choices are alright as well, but nothing shows class like a good old black and white event. Black and white have been the popular wedding colors for many years.
Brides wear white gowns because they are always beautiful on a woman regardless of her hair color. The dress is not likely to be anywhere near as stunning if it weren’t that bright white color. With her hair all done up just perfectly and her makeup applied with such care, it would be a shame to dress her in anything less beautiful.
Then you have to consider the groom. Just like white looks good on the bride, a solid black tuxedo with a nice white vest and tie looks just perfect on a man regardless of his stature, facial features or hair color. Why would you choose to dress him in anything less classy than that? This is supposed to be a formal affair. This is supposed to be top notch. This is supposed to be the time of their lives.
Black and white just mix well with each other. It symbolizes the stark contrasts between a man and a woman. Yet, when you put the two together they go together perfectly. This is just as it should be. The two become one on their wedding day.
Black and white also work well for the rest of the decorations at the wedding reception. You can have black and white balloons, black and white napkins as well as alternating black and white table cloths. You can even have black and white wedding favors if you so desire. Just about anything that you would use at a wedding reception is available in either black or white.
Chances are that even the limousine will be either black or white. There aren’t many other alternatives. It is classy and always appropriate for a high caliber wedding event.
I’m not sure why anyone would second guess choosing black and white as the primary wedding colors. Why would you want to change something that has worked so well at millions of weddings for so many years? Haven’t you ever seen any wedding photos from back in the 1960’s and 1970’s? Some of those people wore some pretty strange looking tuxedos.
Black and white never go out of style. You will be looking at your wedding album for many years. You will be glad that you chose to go with colors that would never go out of style.
